What a Framework Update is

Periodically, a Framework Update will appear on your Overview page, suggesting you update your framework. We recommend doing this whenever it appears - updates rarely require significant additional effort, and keeping current helps your audit run smoothly.

What an update typically includes

• Clearer evidence tasks: Updates to evidence task names and descriptions to make them more helpful. All existing evidence is retained and your integrations are kept.
• Improved control mapping: Tweaks to control mapping so the audit runs smoothly and the auditor can find what they need—often the most helpful change.
• Recommended policies: Occasionally a recommended additional policy. This is added as a draft in the Policies tab for you to review before publishing.

Because these updates rarely require significant effort, we suggest keeping all of them up to date wherever possible.

📁 Evidence tasks moving to Documents (April 2026)

As of April 2026, many evidence tasks were superseded by Documents in the Documents tab. Where this applies, it's worth (but again not mandatory):

• Moving the uploaded evidence from the old task to the corresponding document in the Documents tab.
• Removing the old task once the evidence has been moved across.

This ensures controls are mapped correctly and helps your auditor find the specific evidence quickly.
